Built in 191, this historic inn is nestled on Requa Hill amidst old growth redwoods in Redwood National Park where the Klamath River meets the ocean, each of the 14 rooms are unique, some with magnificent views of the Klamath River, others of the manicured flower gardens. Walking paths, river views, and the peace and quiet of the forest provide the perfect backdrop for a tranquil getaway on the ancient land of the Yurok tribe.
Fern Canyon, a corner room with an expansive view of the river, is our largest and most breathtaking room. It has a four-poster king-size bed and deluxe mattress. Often this is the room guests choose after touring all of them. The room’s only shortcoming is the smaller-than-standard clawfoot tub which supposedly came from a 19th century passenger ship. In spring and early summer, guests in Fern Canyon are lulled to sleep by the sound of a brook that runs along the east side of the building.
