Peerless Hotel~ Suite 7 ~Downtown AshlandThe Peerless Rooms Building was built in 1904 by Oscar and Lucinda Ganiard, who built many commercial buildings in Ashland, including the Ganiard Opera House. Long used for lodging in the railroad district (and known as “The Ganiard Building”), the vernacular “brick front” commercial style building is typical of the once prevalent rooming houses developed to serve the working-class men and women drawn to Ashland in the early years of the 20th century.It was under the ownership of Sarah Meekly that the building received the name, “Peerless Rooms,” in 1910. A significant element of the building is the sign painted on the brick proclaiming “Peerless Rooms” (probably dating from around 1915) with an early “Coca-Cola” advertisement.The Historic Peerless Hotel boasts many vibrant rooms and is part of the heart and soul of downtown Ashland.
The Peerless welcomes you with old world charm. Romantic West Indies inspired decor features a hand-carved mahogany four-poster queen bed, two-person Jacuzzi tub, and shower, 180-degree panoramic view of Ashland and surrounding mountains. Small private balcony. Ideal for a honeymoon, anniversaries or just a much needed holiday. This room is a step back in time to the days of adventure and elegance.

Your room will be walking distance or a very short drive from many amenities the town has to offer. Lithia Park and the downtown shopping area is the perfect pedestrian friendly spot for exploring. If you’re in town for the Holidays, Ashland celebrates with festive Winter lighting, bright star filled nights and fresh roasted coffees. Mt. Ashland watches over the town with happy skiers in the Winter and hikers in the Summer. The location of the Peerless Hotel is perfection.
The Peerless Restaurant and Bar offers award winning wines and global flavors.
There is a Tesla double charger on site for reserving guests only.
- This is non-smoking / non-vaping property. Smoking is permitted outside, ten feet or more from any entry. Smoking of any substance inside the hotel will be subject to a $500 cleaning and damages fee.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am
- Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
This is a Pet Free property.
There is free parking on both sides of 4th Street. There is also additional parking at the back of the hotel, which can be accessed by driving down the alleyway to the left of the hotel.
The Tesla (only) charging station is not a guaranteed amenity and is available to overnight hotel guests only. The charger is available on a "First Come" basis and we are unable to 100% guarantee that it will be available, nor can we pre-reserve the 3 spaces that it will reach in our parking lot.
Reserving guest agrees to limit the number of guests indicated to the number of guests agreed to in the reservation. Should the reserving guest bring additional guests, the primary guest agrees to pay the related fees associated with each guest. Charges are $25 per guest, per day, after two guests. Reserving guest agrees to the maximum amount of two guests.
